Fact 1) Eating low calories and cutting out food groups stalls fat loss and can starve your baby

Most moms believe that the key to losing weight is cutting out carbohydrates or eating in very tiny portions.

But that’s dead wrong.

You see cutting out carbohydrates and greatly reducing food intake has a negative effect on the body because when we diet, Sympathetic Nervous System and Thyroid levels fall and affects a number of hormones that govern fat loss so over time your fat loss progress stalls.

T3 is the hormone produced by your thyroid to burn body fat and dieting too aggressively and for too long has major negative implications on the body and your weight loss goals.

According to a study in the scientific Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism done in 1976 that still stands today:

And if you’re currently nursing, breastfeeding requires an average of 300-600 EXTRA calories per day!

Not eating enough food and nutrients will prevent your body from producing breastmilk for ample lactation so cutting out food groups is the last thing you want to do to yourself and to your growing baby.

Fact 2) Cardio makes you gain fat around your belly, thighs, hips and butt

Most people believe that the key to losing fat and getting into shape is to spend lots of time running on the treadmill and it’s no wonder that that philosophy is embraced by countless of moms…

But that’s wrong too!

Because doing countless of hours of cardio puts massive stress on the body…

And remember what I said about hormonal disruption previously?

According to a 2011 study in the scientific journal Psychoneuroendocrinology,
Cardio increases the stress hormone cortisol.

Elevated cortisol levels are associated to visceral body fat which is the unhealthy body fat that hangs over your midsection preventing you from wearing your old clothes, feeling comfortable in your jeans, putting on a form fitting dress, and (even worse) being embarrassed to wear a bikini on vacation.

And being a mom, our stress levels are already high so the very last thing we needed is even higher cortisol levels.

Fact 3) Without support, you’re destined to fail on your weight loss goals

Let’s be honest…

Our husbands don’t have to worry about “baby weight”.

So when the time comes and we want to start getting back our Pre-Baby bodies, we’re often doing this alone…

While also taking care of the baby, the rest of the family and the household!

Nobody, but other moms, understand the physical and emotional changes that we went through from being pregnant…
